RAM accidental OC?

Hi all i have 6gb OCZ gold ram rated at 1333Mhz and 1.65 volts yet i have it set to 1.6 volts in bios and my ram is 1440Mhz? just wondering why this is

Are you overclocking your cpu, as you might be using the correct multiplier for default speed, but sound's like your running ok

As RJC has said it sounds like you've clocked your cpu and bumped your memory frequency up in the process.

If it stays stable run with it - if it starts to lock up just up the voltage to 1.65v or 1.7v.

ok thats good and yes i have my processor at 3.8ghz

i tried 4ghz but it BSOD when i tried to run prime and im not sure how to make it run at 4ghz.

You might of pushed your memory to far for 4ghz, try lowering the multiplier and see how that goes - if you fancy doing that

Ram multiplier, it is proberly set at 11, try dropping it to 10.
