Hi all,

Currently building a new system. Am using a Scythe Ninja, which is pretty big as you all know. Anyways, the fan encroaches on the first ram slot - there's 4 slots on that mobo. So in order to fit my two sticks of ram in dual channel, I have to use the second channel, i.e. slots 2 and 4 as opposed to 1 and 3. Will this make any difference to performance whatsoever?

Thanks.

tis a tight fit but i have exactly the same combo but with 4 x 1gb sticks lol

can be done.

But as said as long as it boots up displaying dual channel your fine.

How are you finding 4GB on that board as I've ordered 4GB for mine as well. Did you get that much for anything specific or just because you could like me :)

Any difference in games as thats what mine will mainly be used for and have you been doing any overclocking because i got the impression that 4 sticks would make it more difficult to get a good clock.

Thanks.

Hey, hey, hey stop the press! Are you saying *** Scyhthe Ninja can't fit on the ASUS board? And if it does it would be difficult or not possible to fit 4GB? :(

If thats the case them I would be a very unhappy bunny

Does your ram have heatsinks on them?
Try removing them and fitting it.

Heatsinks on Ram doesn't affect the temperature as long is there a movement of air on the RAM anyway.

Losing the Heatsinks may let them fit in the slots.
