RAM and CPU upgrade - potential XP problems

I am about to upgrade my CPU to a Quad Pro Q6600 and increase my ram from 2 to 4 gig. My question is, what order do I install these in order that windows does not give me changed configuration problems. Do I have to visit a microsoft website between upgrade steps, in order that it sees 2 small changes rather than 1 big change ?

As far as I am aware you should just be able to do both at the same time, it is only really a motherboard change that is usually considered major enough to trigger a reactivation but you may want to wait for confirmation before going ahead in case I am wrong.

somewhere in the terms and conditions it mentions that it sees a new motherboard as a new computer. the cpu and ram will not cause a problem.
