Ram and Heatsink Advice

Hi All,

I am considering an upgrade to the following:

Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £269.99
Gigabyte Z87X-OC Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £148.99

The CPU will be overclocked - but not too bothered about OCing the ram so:

What Ram and Heatsink would you suggest - I currently have a Noctua D14 (and also have one on another rig) and I like it, it performs very well and its quiet - and I am a bit of a Corsair fanboy so would prefer Corsair ram (current rig has Vengence Low Proflie)

try it first and see how it performs, can always but different memory later

but I cant see why it wont work fine

Thanks for the replies so far, my current ram is Corsair Low Profile 1600mhz - just wanted to see if people recommended anything faster / better.

Same for the Noctua D14 - I know its a good cooler but wondered if there is anything better, such as a Phantek?

phanteks wont be much better if at all tbh,all the top end air coolers are roughly the same

there is the Samsung green memory which overclocks well and the teamgroup memory but real world gains are minimal over standard 1600mhz
