Switched my PC on this morning and it booted up but nothing appeared on the screen, figured it was possibly a RAM issue so I started checking each stick 1 at a time in each slot. all sticks are Avexir 1600mhz core blues dual channel, 4gb sticks, 2 sets of 2.
First stick would only boot up if put in the third slot along
Second stick works in the first 3 slots
Third stick only works in the first and forth slot along
And the forth stick only works in the forth slot along
I managed to figure out that I can put at least 1 ram into each slot and have them boot together but it seems like the oddest thing ever! I have never had any troubles with them before so is it the RAM or is it a possibility my mobo is the thing thats playing up?
Its a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 AMD 990FX (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard.
Anyone had an experience with this sort of thing?
