Hi guys, I was just playing supreme commander 2 and my 6 GIG of RAM ran out :D The game then crashed with my RAM at 74%.

As my CPU was only at 25% I am guessing that my RAM was the weak link.

I would like to buy some more RAM

I know I probably only need 8 GIG but I am going to splash out and get 16 GIG, please don't judge me :)

This is my mother board

I am tempted by these

Will I be okay using them?

As long as you dont have some huge heatsink that will interfere with the heatspreaders? then yes.

But I thought there was a unit cap in the game to stop the resource drain?

Yeh, there is but I was running a mod that allows up to 2000 units :D

I got up to about 1600 units then things went down hill from there really. :p

reference the heatspreaders.

I have 6 RAM slots. Two of them are under my heatsink.
Will I be okay to put these 4 sticks of RAM in the other 4?

Splendid, that will do nicely sir

Thanks guys, I shall be ordering these at the weekend hopefully :D

They're only on offer until Wednesday morning.

If you can't buy before then have a look if there's anything in the new weekly offers but there don't seem to be any more reasonably priced 12GB kits.

Okay, I'll try and get them tommorrow, thanks for the heads up.

Hi guys, I am revisiting this after having to hold off whilst I paid for a repair on my wifes car :/

Anyway, we left it with these being reccommended to me as the way forward. They were however on special offer at the time and are now £100.00

I have now found these which look to me as a lamen on memory as though they are a higher spec for less money?

I generally only overclock using easy tune 6 so unless that software overclocks memory automatically I wont be over clocking these.

I am happy to spend the £100.00 if it will give me a performance / stability increase.

I dont know the significance of the C9 and C10 in the part number but I assume the higher the better?

I am going to be ordering these now, so any advise would be greatfully recieved.

Thanks guys
