Hello there.

I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to buying computer hardware and rather erronously I went out on a limb and ended up buying some RAM assuming it would be compatible.

So I've purchased.
Corsair CML16GX3M2A1600C10 Vengeance Low Profile 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz CL10 XMP Performance Desktop Memory Kit Black

Will this be compatible with my Gigabyte GA-Z87-D3HP? It's a Haswell board.

My current RAM is.
G-Skill 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600mhz Ripjaws Memory Kit CL9 (9-9-9-24) 1.5V
G-Skill 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz RipjawsX Memory Kit CL9 (9-9-9-24) 1.5V

Thanks!

Phew. Awesome.

I'm changing my RAM as I ran a Memtest64+ for about 4 passes and ended up with over 2000+ errors. Combined with the fact I'm getting constant BSODs related to ntoskrnl.exe, I thought the RAM was the culprit. I've checked the timings on my current RAM and they're fine, so I've eliminated that as a potential source.

Does it sound like I'm doing the right thing?

The rest of my specs are:
Nvidia GTX670
Intel i5 4670k 3.4Ghz (I've not overclocked this yet, anyone have a guide for OC'ing?)
Gigabyte GA-Z87-D3HP
And the aforementioned: Corsair (2x8) 16Gb DDR3 RAM.

Reckon this has enough, uh, 'juice' to run games comfortably for awhile?
I also do some recording (Cubase 5) which seems to be quite CPU intensive.
