RAM Compatible

Hey guys, ive recently built a new computer and when i fired it up everything appeared to be working, but nothing would come up on the monitor. After looking through my motherboard manual i came across the MemOK feature which tests your RAM. This concluded that my RAM doesnt work with my motherboard. After doing some research i have found some RAM that my manual says is compatible, but there is a catch which i will explain once ive shown my system specs:

Asus P7P55D PRO Motherboard.
Intel i5-750 CPU.
XFX Radeon 5850 1GB Graphics card.
Corsair 750W PSU.
Coolermaster CM-690 Advanced 2
Samsung F3 1TB 7200rpm HDD.

RAM that is not compatible is the Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600MHz 4GB (CMD4GX3M2B1600CL8).

The RAM i have found is the OCZ DDR3 4GB 1600MHz (OCZ3X16004GK).

My motherboard manual says this IS compatible but here is the catch. It says, and i quote: 'P7P55D PRO Motherboard Qualified Vendors Lists (QVL) DDR3-1600MHz capability for CPU at 2.8 and 2.93GHz.' That is the list that the OCZ RAM falls under. So will it work with my 2.66GHz Intel i5-750. Or will it not?

My other question is will the RAM not being compatible mean nothing comes up on my monitor dispite all fans and lights working. Or is there another issue that is causing that?

Thanks.

that corsair ram is designed for the phenom 2 and supports BEMP (black edition memory profile) i wouldn't have bought it for an i5 in the first place it might work but requires a steady 1.65Volts have you tried upping the voltage manually if you can get a post if not do u have a freind who could test the ram for you

Unfortunetly i don't know anyone who has a DDR3 based computer and my old one was a DDR2. But yeh, im not getting any post. I turn it on, everything appears to be functioning but nothing on the monitor. I do have a DRAM_LED light on which means the RAM isnt compatible but surely the monitor would still fire up even without RAM?

have you tried using the MEM OK button it's supposed to patch issues

Yeh i tried that. It went through all the flashing set ups but after 30 seconds it would shut off. It would do this a few times and then when it was done it would settle and stay on. But the light on the DRAM_LED would stay on. Meaning the RAM isnt compatible. At no point would anythng come up on the screen.

Well i'm outta ideas then best i can suggest is try and sell the corsair memory on (obviously you'd need to find someone who can try it for you to make sure it does work)and then try some memory that is a certified vendor by asus if that don't work then you know it's your mobo.

where abouts u from if ur close to me i can test it for you?
