Hi all,
back in 2008 i bought the following components-
Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 LGA775 'Wolfdale' 2.66GHz (1333FSB) - Retail £94.99 1 £94.99
Corsair XMS2 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 6400C5 TwinX Dual Channel (TWIN2X2048-6400) £27.99 1 £27.99
Gigabyte GA-EP31-DS3L Intel P31 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

and still runs reasonably well but would like to upgrade the RAM. I believe it can accept up to 4GB? I looked up the compatibility chart for the motherboard but that didn't help much, someone gave me some that looked identical but had slightly different numbers on and that didnt work. I also got some different sticks out of an optiplex 760 that would work on their own but when combined with what i already have wont allow the computer to boot. Would you recommend me upgrading the ram or will it not have much impact? and if so can anyone advise what would work with it? I have found this on ebay but some of the numbers are different to what i aready have No competitor links, if you want to link to your Ram then please use the manufacturers website. Thank you.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Wow that's expensive. I would have thought it would be cheap considering its such an old system.... it also looks different. The one in my ebay link looks more like what I currently have.
