Im a bit out of touch with bits and bobs these days, but im going to be given an old PC.... single core, 1 GB ram with some old graphics card.
Now im happy to keep the case, I can use my old monitor with it and ill stick in my 75Gb Raptor and 300Gb Western Digital HDDs... the motherboard should still be useable, Intel I believe.
So for its use, its going to be a kids rig... dosent need to be spectacular but id like it to run nice enough. Dual Core CPU would be sufficient, 3 GB Ram id assume and probably a cheap but decent enough card so that if they do have games installed im not fiddling with settings for them.
Budget, well £150 if possible - probably £200 is realistic?
Cheaper the better, but at the same time if im going to spend £150-200 might as well get something that will run OK.
