Could anyone spec me a nice 16gb set for a Haswell setup, not sure if im better with a 4 x 4gb or 2 x 8gb so maybe someone with more knowledge could give me a hand :) also timings and speed, if i get a 2400mhz set for example, will I even see this speed or will it require a hearty OC?

thanks :D

2400mhz is adequate mate, depending on brand you'll probably be able to OC it higher.
I'm not too certain about the number of sticks, but as the HAswell boards are dual channel, they'd probably perform better with 2 sticks of 8gb as opposed to 4 sticks of 4gb. but I'm not certain.

All memory speeds over 1600MHz are overclocks on Haswell. I wouldn't run memory above 2400MHz as you'll limit your CPU overclock.

Also which cpu cooler are you using as these can affect recommendations and if you need 16gb id recommend 2 x 8gb sticks as it will allow for future expansion and fully populating all 4 dimms slots can limit your OC 's
