RAM for a Dell

For RDRAM you might have to have an even number of ram sticks for the system to boot(i.e 2, 4). It's been a long time since i saw a system with it some, but maybe someone that had an early P4 can verify.

All 4 ram slots have to be populated with either 2 sticks of ram & 2 continuity dimms (these are blank dimms with no memory on them) or all 4 slots populated with ram.It should explain everything in the owners manual regarding different memory configurations,i remember paying £200 for 2 x 128MB sticks of Rdram:eek:.Also remember reading somewhere that if your cpu has a 400Mhz Fsb you can use RDRAM 800-40 or 800-45 but if its a 533Mhz Fsb cpu you can only use 800-40 dimms:confused:
