Just built a part-new system, with some bits from my previous system, including my old RAM...I was hoping I would get away with using this in the new board...Abit KN8 SLI skt 939...but my 512mb PC3200 Geil value stick will not work with it - however my 512mb TwinMos stick does.

So I'm not sure what to do or buy...I can only afford a 1gb pair...can anyone with this board recomend a brand. I can only go for buget stuff really.

I'm suprised the Geil won't work, so need a sure fire recomendation.

Try getting hold of a pair of TCCD sticks. You can get them used for below £80 I would imagine.

They manage 2-2-2-X timings up to 215-220FSB usually and will do 300FSB on slacker timings.

Well I managed to get some OCZ gold PC4400 very cheap...and though I'll probably never use the available speed, it's nice to have that cusion when I start to overclock.

It's rated 2.5-4-4-8 ...but wonder how much I can tighten the timings at lower speeds. I'm am currently only running it at 220mhz.

Anyony have any experiance with this RAM as I hate having to dismantle everything to reset the CMOS when I take things too far.
