RAM for Sandy Bridge?

Check out this page of a Sandy Bridge review that shows the bandwidth offered by only dual channel 1333Mhz and overclocked 1600Mhz RAM! Impressive for low clocks, perhaps this means memory speed/latency isn't all important on this platform, although I'm sure the faster and lower the better, up to a point.

speed and latency is not important on any platform. Makes hardly if any difference.

Just get the geil kit, they will still run at there stock speed of 1600MHz and the money you saved. Get a new cooler or new hdd or something?

Hi guys, just speccing a sandy machine and was wondering if the voltage in the memory is important at all for overclocking? I have the choice of the Geil which is 1.5v to 1.6v or some Corsair at the same speed (PC3-12800) which is 1.65v.

Maybe somebody can put me straight but what is the point of buying 2000mhz ram etc when I thought that the chips only ran at 100mhz with a max movement to 103mhz?
Also, on a different note, would 4 sticks reduce overclocking over 2 sticks like it did with my current Q6600?
