I am looking at going to vista but have heard I may need more ram, OCUK dont have any of the ram I have at present what should i do look for it somewhere else or can you suggest an alternative??

Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case
Motherboad: Abit IP35 Pro
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 Running @ 3.3Ghz
Memory: OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-8500C5 1066MHz
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB SATA-II 32MB Cache
Video Card: BFG GeForce 8800 GT OC2 512MB
Monitor: Iiyama 17" (Digital)
Operating System: Windows XP Home

Any 4GB (2x2) PC2-6400 or PC2-8500 will do (unclocked PC2-6400 would allow up to 3.6 Ghz with a Q6600).

You could use 4 x 1 but it increases MCH load (and usually requires a voltage bump to keep stability).

Stick to xp there's really no reason other than looks to switch to vista yet.
Have a mess around with msstyles for xp.

For gaming, 4GB is a nice amount. Vista will be fine with 2GB for normal use though, and gaming doesn't suffer that much. It's a nice OS to use though, definitely worth an upgrade if you're keen.
