Hi all,
I wonder if any of you could help me, ive recently built a new system with pretty good specs but i have one problem.

I have 16gb of DDR3-1600MHZ RAM ( 4x4gb Kingston Genesis DDR3 1600MHZ), and i have had it installed for about a month or so and everything works fine, but the other day i took it all apart to clean my system and my ram was VERY VERY hot, now i know that running 16gb of RAM is a little OTT but i have got it so why not use it.

So i have them all in and when i took them out they burnt my fingers cuz they were that hot and ive searched all over the internet but came to no avail.

I have tried seeing if i could get a ram cooler but i dont think one would fit because i have a Crosshair V Formula motherboard and has only one set of ram clips.

Any help is appreciated ill put my specs below if it helps at all.
Thanks
Nathan Doyle

My Specs:
Motherboard-Crosshair V Formula 990fx AM3+
Processor-AMD Phenom 2 X6 1100T BE (3.7ghz OC was at 4.2 but high voltages forced me to downclock)
RAM-16gb Kingston Hyperx Genesis DDR3-1600MHZ (4x4gb sticks)
GPU`S- 2x MSI Twin Frozr II OC Gtx 560TI in sli
PSU-OCZ ZX 850 watt Modular 80+ Gold
CPU Cooler- Antec H20 920 Liquid Cooler
HDD`s- 2x Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM
Case- NZXT Phantom- Case fans listed below
CASE FANS BELOW
1 x 120mm on front to blow air in
1 x 120mm in bottom (where removeable hdd cage is) blowing upwards
2 x 200mm NZXT Red led fans installed at the top of the case blowing air upwards out of the case.
2 x 120mm fans on the side panel to cool hdd`s
All of these fans are hooked up to the motherboard to get better cable management rather than the installed fan controller.

Thankyou

Get an Antec spot cooler. I have one, brilliant for cooling ram and the mobo.

Alright ill keep it in mind but will one of those coolers definitely fit my mobo though because on the Crosshair v there is only the 1 set of like clips what the ram actually clicks into, im sure if you look on google and find a picture of my mobo you will see what im on about.
I was gunna get a corsair one from Pc World but didnt know wether it would fit.

Ok i just had a look at the antec spot cool and its not really what i had in mind i was thinking maybe something more specific to ram, a bit like the corsair airflow ram coolers because i was originally going to get one of those but didnt know wether it would fit so i think i may just have to contact asus on the situation.
thanks for your help btw its much appreciated :)

Any other problems apart form the burnt fingers? RAM can get pretty hot.

If your system is stable, it's probably nothing to worry about :)

No there is no other problems except my voltage that was on my cpu before i downclocked it, i had it running at 1.54 almost 1.5, the only thing is, is that stable or is that too high because personally it think that is way too high lol
:)

I don't know anything about appropriate voltage for a Phenom II. It's not going to affect your RAM either way though. If you're not getting any memory related BSOD's your memory is unlikely to be overheating.

Well thats good to hear, ive been looking at that corsair cooler on the internet and i think i know a way in which to get it on, it just involves some double sided sticky tape or something like that and someone even said they cable tied it because they said that they had the same problem. Anyway thankyou both for your help its much appreciated :)
