Hi.
I have,
Mobo:Asus p6 td delux
Ram: corsair tr3x 6gb
Cpu: Intell i7 920 2.67GHz
Gpu: Msi gtx 660ti
Ps: corsiar rm 1000

Struggling with Battlefield 1 on low graphics setting.
Would like to upgrade what i have without spending too much if poss..
Bf1 recommends 8gb ram. Could anyone advise on a decent replacement?
How little can i spend on a new gpu but still make a marked improvement on performance/quality?
Will i have any issues with the cpu bottleneck?
Don't have an indepth understanding of components and the like. Especially not up to speed on whats new, just like to shoot things up on multi player!!
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers..

More ram is costly 2.5x now than it was. :( Have 24gb in my 1366 intel rig

You could get Xeon 6 core to replace that i7. I went from i7 to Xeon 5670 for £45

GPU are stupid price also.

So I'd just replace CPU and accept ram and GPU are stupidly expensive and make do with bad FPS and running out of ram. Unless you don't mind spending a lot.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £514.47 (includes shipping: £10.50)

Add the 2GB stick of RAM to your existing three sticks. Read your motherboard manual to see which slots to use for dual channel config (rather than triple channel). Stick two Corsair sticks in the Primary dual channel slots, and the other Corsair and new TeamGroup stick in the Secondary dual channel. Run them all at the speed of the slowest stick, i.e. if the slowest is Teamgroup 1600MHz then run all at that speed. If your Corsairs are 1333MHz, then run them all at that speed instead.

Two video card choices. I'd get the 1060 6GB if you are wanting to keep a card for the next 3-4 years. The 1050Ti would still be a decent improvement over the 660Ti though, if budget is tight. Prices are high just now. The 1060 is about £75-100 over the norm, and 1050Ti about £20-30 over. New cards may arrive in April so if you've put up with those graphics for a while, I'd hold out a little longer to see what happens (or for 1060 price to come down). Newer video cards sometimes require updating BIOS on older motherboards, so any issues that is pretty much the first thing you should do.

CPU will be a bottleneck yes. But to upgrade CPU/mobo/16GB RAM (DDR4) would cost an extra £440-ish (or £330-ish with 8GB RAM). RAM price (especially DDR4) also very high. You'll still get more fps, just not as much or the constant smoothness in multiplayer that a more modern faster processor would give you. Don't worry too much about this, but start saving to upgrade that next. I'm using a 4770K Haswell and I know I'm not getting the same fps as someone with Skylake, Kaby Lake or Coffee Lake, but it does the job and is similar to Ryzen.

Unfortunately your whole machine needs upgrading. Bf1 works best on a minimum of 8gb of ram preferably 16gb, a 1060 or better and a better cpu. Be careful with any upgrades to your existing machine as you may be better off saving for a replacement.

You could try overclocking your cpu being careful of temps and power. Run afterburner in game to monitor cpu / Gpu temps and usage to confirm bottleneck. My i5-760 @ 3.8ghz didn’t come close to maxing out an rx280 and in the end I just saved for a full replacement rather as it was better value for money. A new Gpu could be moved into a new machine when you upgrade.
