RAM height difference?

I was considering between these two 8 gig kits for my new build:
KVR1333D3N9K2/8G for 44€

KVR1333D3N9HK2/8G for 41€

After looking up the spec sheets for them the only difference I see is PCB height. PCB: Height 0.740” (18.75mm) vs. 1.18” (30mm) for the cheaper one.

So I just take the taller cheaper one as I have a normal case? Or any pros with having lower memory?
Also, 2x4 gig kit is better than 1x8 gig, right? (1X8 gig would be even cheaper).

My mobo: MSI H61M-P22 B3

They appear to be the equivalent and should perform the same.

There are actually different versions of the datasheet for the KVR1333D3N9K2/8G. They can be found described as either 18.75mm or 30mm tall.

2 x 4GB should perform better than 1 x 8GB but whether you’d notice the difference (except for running benchmarks) is debateable.

low profile ram helps to fit under some after market coolers, wish i had bought some grrrrr

you may be even better going for 1x8gb, even though the performance may be slightly less running in single channel. You can dump another 1x8gb (or more) at a later date and not have to get rid of any other memory modules (max out the slots)
