Hi all,

So I was just testing some new NETAC memory.

What I just wanted to clarify is that the memory is DDR4-3200 and this is what it shows on the label and in CPU-Z.

But in the bios of my Asus Motherboard it shows as DDR4-2666.

I have the memory config set to 'AUTO'

...is this normal?

Thanks

what everyone else said.
AUTO = JEDEC speeds...which in your case, for your ram is 2666MHz
Enabling DOCP/XMP will automatically overclock the ram to the advertised speeds

Can you show us the SPD data from hwinfo or cpu-z.

JEDEC of 3200 DOES exist, but XMP/(DOCP) is more common. However, you may need a somewhat recent board to detect and configure 3200 JEDEC automatically because it didn't exist when DDR4 was released. 2666 was the highest speed for most of DDR4's life.

Yeah, those pics suggest it only has a JEDEC profile up to 2666, as tamzzy said.

JEDEC 3200 also has worse latency than the XMP profile and they're normally CL22, whereas yours is CL16.
