My friend has some Corsair Vengeance RAM that he can't get to work in his PC.
MOBO: ASUS P6X58D X-58 1366
CPU: i7 980x
Existing RAM: CMP6GX3M3A1600C [1.65v]
New RAM model: CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10 [1.5v]
The new RAM sticks prevent his PC from booting sometimes and shows lots of errors on Memtest.
I put the sticks in my PC (i7 3820, P9X79Pro) and it worked fine, no errors.
Thing is, I sold this RAM to another member on these forums (prior to knowing about memtest errors) and he also got memtest errors.
I can only assume this is because the RAM isn't compatible/running at wrong voltages in their boards?
