edit: - im using this ram OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2 (OCZ2P800R22GK) however i only have 1 stick in at this time as the other sticks appear to be dead, machine will not post with either of the new sticks in individually.

on the side of the ram it staes that it should be running at 4-4-4-15. am i right iin assuming that all i need to do is go into the bio and change the corresponding settings. also ive been trying to install 2 more sticks of the same ram, but getting BSOD all the time with the new sticks installed. someone said i will need to change voltage settings to get more than 2gbs to work. is this correct? thanks guys

go into the BIOS, set ram timings to manual, and enter:

CAS: 4
RCD: 4
RP: 4
RCD: 15
Leave the rest (if it gives you any) on "Auto" if you can, dont fiddle with them too much if you dont know what you are doing ;)

set RAM voltage (normaly called Vdimm) to 2.0 or 2.1 volts, and you may need a slight bump on the NorthBridge volts with 4 sticks installed.

nice one mate, tried those settings and bumped the vram to 2.0. all seems to be working now with 2 gigs in. would i have to increase the vram voltage anymore if i wanted to add a third stick?

how long would you recomend running memtest86+ for? can i just stick all my ram in and let it do its things? will it tell me what stick is the bad stick? thanks again for your help
