RAM Memory Cooling options

Hi guys,

I am currently trying to set-up all my cooling on my system and have not found a suitable option for cooling my ram. I am hoping that one of the super genius members of this forum will be able to assist.

My Ram and mother board are;

16GB Patriot 1866Mhz
2kits http://patriotmemory.com/products/detailp.jsp?prodline=5&catid=34&prodgroupid=194&id=1042&type=1

ASUS Sabertooth P67 Motherboard http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/SABERTOOTH_P67/

I know that there are doubts about the performance benefits of the thermal armour but it looks darn cool and I would like to keep it on the board. This however causes me an issue when installing ram cooling.

The patriot ram cooler requires 1x free DIMM to mount it in, that's no good as I have used them all. Other ram coolers look like they require quite a space around the ram to install but I have the thermal armour on the board restricting the space.

Could anyone suggest a RAM cooling solution that will work in this setup.

Thanks in advance for any support or assistance you guys can provide.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

RAM doesn't need cooling unless possibly you're doing some insane overclock with a massive voltage.

Hi Surveyor,

Thanks for the welcome :D

I plan to experiment and push things as hard as I can, before I do id like to ensure that I have maximised the cooling of all components.

I do understand that most memory configurations do not require cooling however, I would just like to add that extra level of protection if I can.

would have thought most air coolers for ram was just a gimmick, as all your doing is circulating your warm air inside case onto the ram. I had one of these Corsair Airflow Triple-Channel Fan some time back, and found it a waste of time

could get water cooled ram sinks
