I want to upgrade my RAM 4GB to 8GB as it looks cheap. I have a P55 board and am not sure which RAM to buy.

Corsair Vengeance 8GB - £36
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB - £32
Corsair XMS3 8GB - £36
Kingston HyperX Genesis 8GB - £38
G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB - £40

Are they all the same and which is the best one to get?

I've always been a fan of G.Skill as its always clocked well for me but have used all above and only had an issue with some faulty Ballistix but that was probably just a one off. Its all good really but I'd get the RipJaws.

On some models you will need to watch the tall heatsinks with cpu coolers, as these cn inter fear.

I currently use the Kingston in my system in my sig.

Kingston HyperX Genesis 8GB seems to be a solid choice, mentioned often around here and I'm quite pleased with the pair I got myself.

They are pretty much all the same performance wise, however, reliability wise, I would say get XMS3, I have never had any problems with them.

Had one of a pair of XMS3 that was DOA. First time I've seen that for many years.
