Ram Not Compatible?

I recently took advantage of OCUK's low price offer on ram and bought 2Gb of OCZ ram to complement the 2Gb I already had. Now, the problem -

First set - OCZ PC6400 800mhz 4-4-4-15 Platinum Edition

Second set - OCZ PC6400 800mhz [email protected] Platinum Edition

If I run both sets together I get BSOD's and nothing but static from my X-Fi. If I just run the second set on it's own I get a very slow PC.

I'm not the best person to go rummaging about my settings without help so if someone knows how to sort this I'd really appreciate it.

Are you overclocking your system at the moment? are you running them in dual channel or mixed slots?

Not overclocking and running the ram in dual channel slots.

Ship it back id suggest if all else fails. Contact their support and/or try it in another machine if you can.

Spoke to OCUK and they are going to RMA it. I've no option of testing it in another machine so fingers crossed it's not anything I have or haven't done. No explanation for my X-Fi going beserk other than a memory overload so I hope that's a good sign that the ram is goosed.
