RAM not on Compatibility list - issue?

I just purchased a MSI Z170A Tomahawk motherboard, and some Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 2400Mhz RAM.

I just noticed on the MSI website a RAM Compatibility list for this motherboard, which lists all the model codes that the motherboard supports.

There are loads of codes for the Corsair Vengeance LPX sticks, but (typically) not the one I have just bought (CMK16GX4M2A2400C14).

Could this be an issue? Why would it not have this models code but lots of the others for the same make of memory?

Probably it will work, usually they list the memories they have tested on the board.
I've had many computers over the years and none of them had my memories on the compatibility list.

I've never checked the list of supported memory before purchasing, as Drangueos said they just publish a list they have specifically tested, it's not to say others won't work perfectly fine.

They are only ever going to do a certain number as it would cost them huge amounts to test every set of sticks and be pretty impossible really.

I also doubt many manufacturers will go back and test new RAM later on so if your sticks are recently released then they just might not have been available at the time.

I wouldn't worry, if you do get a problem with your new build source some approved stuff and if it works then you'll know for sure. You have 7 day returns with the distance selling regulations to protect you if you need to return one or both sets.

CMK16GX4M2A2400C14
CMK=LPX, 16 could mean 8GBx2
The general part is GX4M2A2400C14. Unfortunately, that part is not listed. While 2133 will work fine, 2400 with XMP is a gamble. Do you have a processor? If yes, see if it POST and enter the UEFI.
