RAM not running at rated timings

Hey all, as the title states, my crucial ballistix 2x 2gb will not run at the rated speed and timings.

It does not matter if my cpu is overclocked, Ive tried at stock but to no avail :(
Ive also tried adding more volts +0.10

Nearest Ive got at 400mhz at 2.00v was
CAS# Latency 4
RAS# to CAS# 4
RAS# Precharge 4
tRAS 18
tRC 52

Ive tried with each stick of RAM on its on, and Ive run memtest

Any advice is appreciated

What problems exactly are you getting, no boot? Is the memory divider set to auto? if so it might be running it out of spec, set it so it runs 1:1 with cpu.
 
I'm just getting BSODs, failing prime95 etc, just like an unstable overclock. Ive tried setting everything to default, but it will just not keep stable at the rated timings on the SPD
 
Sometimes it just wont run at rated specs on certain motherboards.
My ocz reaper x won't do it's timings according to the spd on a p5q pro so I have to set it to 5-5-5-18.

From what I have seen very very few 2x2gb sticks can do 4-4-4 timings at 400mhz or more.

I've got 8GB Geil Black Dragon CAS 5 modules running at 4 4 4 11 @ 400MHz with 2v and 8GB Kingston HyperX PC8500 running at 445MHz CAS 4 4 4 11 2.13v in another rig, both on P35 chipsets too with quads, so not that new tech! Try maybe 2.1-2.2v
