my friend as had him pc for 7 years and now wants a new one that look good with loys of leds but as to last the test of time. we have been lookong at the Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer. is the ram any good or it is just crap ram with leds straped on

Not in my personal experience, it was ok ram, 3 pairs of the same ram failed on me in under 6 months each at stock speeds and voltage. Samsung Green is a better choice imo, I chose out of the samsung and the tracers and ended up with the greens. I love how small they are and they overclock very well. Only reason I wanted the Crucials was the LED's, but was put off them by past experience, the customer service from crucial is good but my half my sticks failed.
