hi,
im lookin to replace my ddr2 667mhz 2gb ram with this -
Corsair XMS2 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit
now my current oc'd cpu's FSB is 400mhz and my ram is runnin at 800mhz. ive read that im probably gonna have to oc this ram manually and that got me thinkin.
is there actually any point in having ram runnin that fast on my rig if i dont intend seriously ocing my cpu any more? im assumin that i wouldnt notice any performance (gaming) havin ram runnin that fast.
the way i understand it, ram can only run as fast as the FSB allows it, am i right bout that?
