At home of course :p
My ram is rated to 1600mhz at 1.8v with 9-9-9-24 timings.

Currently however it won't do 1400mhz. This is at 1.6 volts instead of the standard 1.5 volts. Strangely more volts makes it less stable. E.g if I set the volts to 1.8 it struggles to even get into the bios. This is on a a Gigabyte X48T-DQ6 motherboard. The ram is corsair CM3X2G1600C9DHX

Any suggestions? it's strange that more volts are making it less stable?

too much volts behave the same way as too little. try 1.5 volts see what you get.

Ok - Tried 1.5 volts and it crashed. Have now slackened it to 1342 with 10 timings at 1.5 and it's still crashing :(

Could the Ram be faulty perhaps?

Or simply Mobo does not like that Memory but Corsair are usually fine.

I know you shouldnt need to for stock or under stock running but please try increasing your NB voltage by 0.1v.
