Ram overclocking query

Hi all, I'm up to speed on overclocking my cpu and gpu but the ram side of things still hasn't clicked.

My spec:
Gigabyte GA-P31-D3SL motherboard
2 x 2gb OCZ PC2-6400 ram
E2220 CPU @ 3GHz (12x250)

In CPU-Z my 'Rated FSB' is 1000Mz

Now the ram bit I dont quite get/want advice on;
DRAM Frequency = 416.7MHz
FSB : DRAM = 3:5
Timings = 6:7:7:19

Can or should I change the settings in the bios of the ram in order to get better performance?

I think I've tried already and ended up with the above, so any advice greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Dave B.

Your RAM is DDR2, so the data rate is doubled to give 416.7 x 2 = 833.4MHz

That's just slightly above the rated speed for PC2-6400, so no problems there!

Timings are a bit tripe tbh. I would set the correct memory voltage and then the advertised timings for your memory (probably 5-5-5-18 or 4-4-4-12).

Should I set the timings manually in the bios? Also, CPU-Z says (on the SPD page) they should be 5-6-6-18@400MHz whereas OCZ says it should be 5-4-4-18? The ram is OCZ2P8004GK

Yeah set them manually in BIOS to 5-4-4-18. You'll have to set the DDR2 voltage to 2.1v (probably the +0.3v option in a Gigabyte BIOS).
