Was planning on getting a q9450 and a p5q-e and noticed overclocking on those can be 4ghz with a 500bus speed.

now to keep ram timings 1:1 can a 800mhz ram be safely/stabaily overclocked to 1000mhz?
if it helps looking at;
Corsair TwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800), 240 Pins, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 5-5-5-18, DHX

or the cheaper one without the DHX (only difference i can see what ever that is =S)

I dont mind buying a cooler of somesort for them, if theres suggestions?

That won't do 1000mhz. If it was 4-4-4-12 stuff then it might, but the CAS 5 stuff won't.

Just buy some PC2-8000 or PC2-8500. That way you know that it won't hold back the Q9450's overclock.
