Hi,

I'm a complete beginner when it comes to hardware within machines, and I have a small problem if anyone could help me.

I ordered a full setup from overclockers around a year ago including:

Code:
Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 12800C9 (1600MHz) Tri-Channel (TR3X6G1600C9)

Code:
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard

And I've had trouble making it read the full amount, as it's currently reading 4GB / 6GB. I had a friend fix it at one point somehow who I don't have contact with anymore, so it is capable of reading the full 6GB and not faulty.

Since then the positions had changed, and I'm not sure if I've even got it in the right slots. I've taken a picture if anyone can help, be highly appreciated. (Please note the place there in currently isn't where it was, this is after a lot of shuffling about, did originally follow the guide provided).

Thanks so much if you can help!

Yeah the CMOS has been cleared a few times due to problems with the motherboard when I first had it. The person who ended up fixing it did actually change settings within BIOS also. I'll try those slots now and see if it reads, thanks!

Thanks so much for the help,

After an hour of having it reading no RAM, I finally got it to read 6GB (4GB Usable) with all slots within the cream slots.

I then just went into BIOS and it was set to something else so I changed Extreme Memory Profile to "profile" and it changed the values to the ones you told me to change too. I've booted up since and it's still 6GB 4GB usable though :( Do you have anymore suggestions? I appreciate your time a lot.
