RAM price increase

I bought some Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz RAM in November 2011, for approx £35. Now I noticed its nearly £45!

It's not just at OCUK though, its most online retailers.

Is this an effect of the ivybridge launch or is there a shortage?

They might be rising a little but they are still cheaper than a few years ago.

I paid £120 for 4GB of Corsair XMS3 in January 2010!

Just got 32gb 1866 for £180 was quite happy with that although prices have gone up from a few.months ago still not bad though.

See my thread which sort of charts the rises and fall of ram prices, they are continuing to rise on dramexhange... so prices are not going down any time soon.
