Ram prices about to increase hugely

Hmmm, I can't believe this. It is just what happened with bitcoin and GPU prices. Everyone saw the huge profit potential and jumped on it. When supply is more than demand prices fall. I would love to hear from a manufacturer to clarify.

It creates a sense of panic. I was contemplating buying some faster RAM but now with these rumours around I'm thinking I need to get something quickly.

some pretty cheap (relatively speaking) deals if you look around.
especially with micron e-die ram...

More gouging. It's like these tools want to kill off the industry they profit massively from! We really need more manufacturers, competition is the only way to drive prices down and keep them down.

So, which is it?

All I was aware was about prices dropping. And almost regretting my second pair or 8pack 3200, bought about 2 weeks before reading few articles about that. But they're so good, no reason to regret, if the prices really drop.

Well the Crucial ballistix 16gb kit I was looking at has increased over night, Maybe coincidence, but it was a budget kit for a cheap build, doesn't bode well if it's going to become the norm again.

*** Please no hinting or prices of competitors, Thanks ***

I suspect it will increase in price due to exchange rate, so while it maybe cheaper in the US, we won't see that change as much.

Yep the memory I bought last month is now £40 more expensive... not seeing it here at all.... I was actually loggin on to buy another 16gb but £150 was a lot more palatable than £190 so wallet closed till the prices come down again.
