Ram prices Set To Nosedive in H2

8GB DDR3 can currently be picked up for £36 inc delivery. That was cheap enough for me so I ordered last night! :P

It just so happened that the set on offer for £36 was the exact same as the set I currently have, so I thought why not!

I hope an extra set doesn't affect my 4.0Ghz overclock but we shall see!
 
Hehe I keep reloading one reseller's page on the Corsair Vengeance I have, and it gets lower everytime I refresh already. Paid mine 61/8GB and it's now 45/8GB. Bring it on :-)

My main PC is already maxed, but the other one will certainly be maxed before the price go up again :-)

but will the heat spreaders interfer with the arctic freezer 7 pro rev 2 on the asrock extreme 7(will upgrade to better cooler at a later date so will the ram interfer with the new cooler)?

I'm trying to decide between the corsair vengence lp(blue ~£42-£44, jet black ~£46, arctic white(1.35v) ~£50-£60) and kingston hyperx genesis grey(missed the £40 offer here as I hadn't decided to get the motherboard+cpu at the time but then the asrock extreme7 pre-order price put up after the ram offer ended, however can get it for ~£40 or so elsewhere)

but if the ripjawx will fit then may consider it, but after the issue I had with that etail back in 2007 I'm not sure I'll go back to them.
 
This is good news to me, looking to go to 8gb soon but as I only built my pc a few months ago I didn't want to spend silly amounts and have ram left over :P
 
Much cheaper & they will be giving them away free.

Just wish we see some (16gb) 2x8gb DDR3 kits appear soon at at a sensible price.
 
paid £190 for 6gb of corsair 1600mhz cas7 18 months ago :(
funny thing is i very nearly paid £320 for the dominator 2000mhz.. but before it was dispatched i phoned up and changed the order to a vapour x 5870 for £10 more.. then bought the £190 ram
btw when i say i paid, i mean mother :D

That's what I've done like. Can't use it, but it was £79 for 16GB. So snapped it up and I'm keeping it stashed away until next month (or month after that) when I decide to upgrade my CPU and Mobo. :)
 
I originally bought the 2x 2x2gb OCZ special ops which OcUK did for £21.99 ea and sold them before they even touched a system as I have boought some corsair vengence LP. 1.35v. For the same price I could sell the old ocz for. Now need motherboard & CPU to crash the same :)
