RAM prices went up?

really? £35 cheapest 8gb 1600 mhz with 11-11-11-28 trimmings before crimbo , a long way before crimbo you would see ram like that on sale for £23-£26 each week and then there was always the 9-9-9-27 trimmings of ram 1600mhz for about £30-33

Think Gibbo's mentioned it a few times.
It's getting abit harder to find cheaper RAM.
I recently bought 16GB of 2 x 8GB sticks from OCUK for 40 quid, but the same sticks now a fair price more.

i see, its not just OCUK btw im not having ago at the company, just last week i was specing some parts for a friend and he sent me a link to some ram he wanted to buy and i laughed and said he could get it way way cheaper.

then went to look and couldn't was baffled that the prices suddenly shot up

The RAM rollercoaster is a regular event. Manufacturers can't keep reducing the price forever, or they'll be giving it away before long. Sneaky guys have a price fixing ring on the go and it affects any product that has memory chips

I bought Mushkin 996988 DDR3 (2x4GB) 8GB PC3L-12800 9-9-9-24 FROSTBYTE 1.35V Low Voltage, 37 quid in december 2011!! The only thing that even comes close is the samsung green @ £50!
