RAM - Quantity V Quality?

First of all, my mobo only supports max speeds of 1333MHz RAM.

I have a kit of 2 X 4GB DDR3 RAM and a kit of 2 X 8GB DDR3 RAM.

The PC is an i5 2500k with a 560Ti 1GB.

Now my question is, would I notice a difference with 16GB RAM for just general PC tasks and some light gaming?

going from 8GB to 16GB, no I don't think you'll notice at all

the new maxpain game that's coming out is recommending between 8-16gb of ram,

i'd also save the money, and save up for a bigger upgrade

I imagine that game must have a very awful memory leak if it the recommended specs are 8gb+

16gb if you don't need it is slower than 8gb due to the having to run slacker timings in general to get it stable. Stick with 8gb.
