RAM query

Would my pc run, benefit from;

£25.99 x 1 - OCZ Special OPS 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (OCZ3SOE1600LV4GK) (What I have now, installed into 2 black slots)

with

OCZ OCZ4001024ELPE DDR PC-3200 Platinum 1GB Module, which would install into a blue slot

Don't think I can can i?

It wont then be running in dual channel mode.

Okay, then aswell from my old pc, I have 2x 512MB sticks - OCZ pc3200

does it matter that they're different DDR?

being DDR they wont even fit in the slot.

and a hammer wont work either!!!!

You can't use DDR memory with DDR3, slots are notched.
