RAM question from a noob....

Sorry bout this, I am a noob. When buying RAM is a higher or lower number of Mhz better? I've seen some at 800Mhz and some at 1000+Mhz. So which is better?

Higher.

Ensure your motherboard can support the frequency of the ram before you purchase. Otherwise you'll find its incapable of running at its full speed.
