RAM Question.

Hello,

I have just upgraded the RAM in my Desktop Acer Predator G5900.

Initially i had 4GB (2 x 2GB) in 2 slots of the available 4.

I now have 8GB (4 x 2GB) in all 4 slots and are all the same brand model etc.

My question, is this the most optimal way to upgrade to 8GB or would i have been better having 2 x 4gb vs 4 x 2gb?

PC is working completely fine, however i feel the noise coming from the tower is slightly louder than previously...(could be my imagination).

Advice much appreciated.

If it works then it works, I wouldn't bother buying a new kit.

Memory sticks only use a watt or two, so shouldn't be a problem.

And no real performance issue having 4 x 2gb vs 2 x4gb?

Negligible at best.

Possibly, when the system was current (I can't remember that far back), but the benefit of having 8GB over 4GB should far, far outweigh any difference.
