RAM recommendations for S3/DS3?

I'm currently in the process of upgrading my rig and want to get a 2Gb kit that will (hopefully) allow me to get my E6300 up to around the 3Ghz mark in either a DS3 or S3 board. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, as I'm on a bit of a budget do you know if the Geil value kits will handle high speeds or is it worth investing a bit more on the other Geil kit?
