Hi all,

Going for my first PC build next week - I'm quite new to it all and not really technical, but fancied learning how to build a pc over lockdown. Unfortunately my old PCs CPU has died. So trying to use a few components from my old build and want to try and achieve the best performance possible for Gaming.

I really need some suggestions on RAM.

Components are as follows:

Case - Lian-Li Lancool II mesh.
Motherboard - ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII (Wifi)
CPU - Intel i9-10900KF 3.7Ghz 10 core
GPU - Asus 3080 TUF OC (on order)
AIO - Gigabyte AORUS 360mm RGB Liquid AIO
PSU - Corair Semi Modular 850w
SSD - Samsung 1TB 970 pro M.2 & Samsung 860 pro sata

RAM - currently I have 2 x 16gb Corsair @ 3000mhz. I really need to get some advice on this - I would like to improve this to around 4000mhz but want to keep as stable as possible so don't want to OC too much. I quite fancy some RGB ram, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Do you thinks it's best to run 4 x 8gb sticks or 2 x 16gb for gaming?

Thanks!!

If I want the acme of performance what would you suggest?

To be honest, I have just had intel and parts to accommodate the 1200 socket.

I know the latest Ryzen is coming out in a few weeks. Really impatient of me, but after the delay of the 3080s I just don't want to be months out of playing games. That's why I guess.

All parts have been ordered to be fair.

I will be streaming as well. I just saw this listed as the better of the Intel CPU processors out to date through several sources and reviews.

Can you elaborate? I need educating clearly.
