I have a "Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C10 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit" in my rig at the moment, I've not had any problems with them up until now, but now Windows, CPU-Z and my BIOS are all telling me that I have 2x2GB sticks instead.

I've tried booting off one at a time, but both sticks are clocking in at 2GB separately, so it's not the case of one stick being dead.

I've tried reseating them in their channels, and tried separate channels. I've also tried reseating my CPU as I've read that might have something to do with it. I've reset my BIOS too. Unfortunately nothing else has worked.

Oddly I've had to RMA a set of RAM for exactly the same reason, but that was because it was a mispackaged batch and was actually 2x2GB set in a 2x4GB pack. However, this RAM has previously been running at 8GB, so I know it's definitely the right stuff.

Any ideas on what I could do? Or is it RMA time?
