RAM running slow

Just built myself a new PC with a AMD X2 4200 and 1 gig of Geil 6400. During boot it says it's running at 670 and not 800 like i expected. How can i get it to full speed?

change the divider to a higher one.

I'm pretty much a n00b when it comes to configuring memory settings, how do i go about that and what other effects will it have?

just changes tehr atio of the core clock to the memory clock. will be called a different thing depending on the board. might be on either 166 or 333 now, see if you can put it onto 200 or 400.
