Ok I've updated my mobo bios and need to get my overclock settings back. I've got the 6700k up to 4.6 so that's sorted. I've just got to get my ram back up to 3733mhz from the stock 2133.

Mobo: ROG Maximus viii extreme - bios 2202
RAM: Team Group 16GB DDR4 3733 CL18-20-20-39 1.35v TXD418G3733HC18ADC01

Can somebody talk me through the settings please

nope no joy. Won't even boot to bios. Have to reset cmos and re-apply 4.6 overclock. The overclock settings are those from the ROG website (by Chino I think).

haha it's only as fast as I can get it to run at .. tried the voltage changes and no .. won't boot to bios .. there was a guide I found when I built the thing .. can't find it now.

Remember there is no guarantee that you can actually get the memory to ru at that speed, there is no magic voltage or adjustment that will get past a an imc that just wont play ball at those sort of frequency's .

Try manually setting the ram timings and voltage and start from 3000mhz and work your way up, remember that sometimes the sa voltage might need decreasing for stability.

I had it running at 3733 prior to all the GPU issues (since December 2015). In an attempt to get things sorted I updated to bios 2202. I just can't figure out what settings to use other than "XMP".
