Ram Sockets Broken?

Forgive the 3rd question today, but on my Maximus IV Extreme the two left most sockets do not work.

I put 2 ram sticks on the right side, and it worked fine. I took 1 ram stick and put it on the left side and I get error 58 on the motherboard, which means "CPU test failed or CPU cache error".

I have 16GB ram I want to put in, but seem to be stuck with 8 now. I'd hate for the motherboard to be ******.

The limit on my board is 32GB. Do I have to set any BIOS settings to allow for more than 8GB?

To confirm, the 2 ram sticks work on the right side, but not on the left side.

Computer works fine if ram sticks are on the right side.

A1 and A2 are the faulty ones, if I use B1, B2 (working) as well as A2 (closest to B1) I get a different error on the motherboard. Error 30, which is reserved by Asus and have no idea what it means.

I am dreading having to remove all the parts to replace the motherboard :( That was painstaking.

I've re-seated the CPU various times when I first came across the problem. When it first happened I though it was the PSU, or my wiring, so stripped it, restarted. And it was the RAM in the end.
