Dear All,

I have a potential issue with my memory and the Z97 board I have, this gives me an excuse to buy some different RAM to test. Thing is I've never understood what makes a 'good' RAM compared to budget ones and understand very little about the specs I look at.
My board can support up to 3200(OC) but I think I'd be happy with 2400mhz, I may notice little difference between that and the 1600mhz stuff I have now but still.
I would like an 8gb kit and preferably not more than £100. Budget can potentially go up if a convincing argument as to why something's worth extra can be made :)

Ok I shall check it out. Is there any benefit to getting a model of RAM that my mobo has a pre existing XMP profile for? I presume that's because it's 100% compatible.

those are profiles from the team Australia ocing guys

they will be tuned timings for that ram ect

you can get that ram but they would be expensive

the teamgroup ram should work fine on that motherboard or the corsair vengeance or Kingston memeory

Judging by specs it's a gaming rig, tbh I do not really see any point in going from 1600 to 2400 especially as DDR4 & X99 is close....Just my 2 cents worth.
