Ram speed ..cant be right?

This is for a friend, we were talking about upgrades and i asked what Ram he got, wen we looked it was 2gb running at 333mhz is there any way to check if this is the default coz that seems awful low concidering he bought it november last year...

... and DDR stands for Double Data Rate so the effective speed is doubled to 667. Same as DD2 800 would show as 400Mhz
