Hi guys, got a query about my memory speed here.

Currently using OCZ Gold 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 12800C8 1600MHz Triple Channel (OCZ3G1600LV6GK) and I know its not the most highly rated RAM but is it running at the correct speed.

I7 920 D0 @3.6Ghz, and a copy of CPU-Z captured below. Says its running at 1400 and not at the rated speed of 1600MHz?

Why would this be? Thanks. PS Obviously a noob here!

You will need to adjust the memory multiplier in the BIOS to 8 or 9. With 9 the memory will run at 1620mhz, hopefully your memory should run with this.

ok, gone into the bios;

Memory Bus Multiplier was set to AUTO
Giving a memory BUS Target Speed of 1444MHz

there is only Auto, x6, x8, x10,12,14,16. No x9?

Any thoughts?

E; mobo is Foxconn Bloodrage gti

That's not very helpfull Foxconn :(

Alternate is to run with 8 x multiplier which give the same speed or increase the BCLK and run the memory at rated speed, but this will increase your CPU overclock.

200 x 8 will give you 1600 MHz on the memory, that's how I have mine setup.

Hmm. To be honest didnt really want to overclock any futher than 3.6 at stock voltages, way more than enough for me....but....

Raised VTT to 1.255v

VDIMM / DRAM voltage to 1.64v

BLCK 190

MULTIPIER X20

Was just wondering that core voltage correct ? I thought core voltage was = VTT ?

Presumably next step is to run prime and memtest for a bit to check stability and temps, is that right?
