Ram Speed

I am trying to figure out if my RAM is running slow

I have a A68HM-PLUS Motherboard, Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2x 4GB) 2400MHz DDR3 and an AMD 7860k

In the bios it says my ram is running at 1333 MHZ, I tried to manually set it to 2400 but it says overclock failed. If left to auto the target speed is 1333.

Is this correct or should it run at 2400mhz?

It's all set to auto, shouldn't it be able to run at that speed automatically?

I have tried to set the ram to docp and I just got constant BSOD, even after changing it back it would BSOD. :/

Cheers, Is prime 95 the best piece of software to run to stress test the memory and cpu or is it best for cpu only?
